Raised in an artistic family, Hugh was encouraged to paint, draw and explore his creative energies from an early age. His parents, both artists, served in the Peace Corps, bringing up their three children in various locations around the globe. During a five-year stay in Bolivia, Hugh perfected his Spanish and developed a fondness for the peoples and places of Latin America.
Hugh studied art at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a BFA in Art History and a minor in Studio Art. Hugh, Jen, Allie and Scout currently live in Denver, Colorado, where he pushes paint around his canvases at his home studio.
